Episode 16 - Thoughts on odd social media posting styles
Here's the highlights from this week's podcast:
Here's the few social media posting styles we consider odd:
1) Posting photos with the caption of "Might delete later" and sometimes it really gets deleted later.
2) Posting story with a black background and very tiny words written on it
3) Posting story with a black background and message written using the initial letters of their Chinese Pinyin.
4) Deleting most of their social media posts after sometime
People posts oddly when it's trendy. The odd social media posting styles which we mention above are no longer common as they are no longer trendy. When some new odd posting styles appear, you'll see many people doing the same as they're following the trend.
People are most probably seeking for attention with odd posting styles. Verene first thought that people may lack confidence when they're posting this way. However on a deeper dive, we realise that most of the time they are just attention seekers. If people are unconfident of themselves, they probably won't post anything.
It's better to be individualistic than attention seeking. When people are individualistic, they can easily explain their reason behind their actions but when they're attention seekers, they always find excuse to cover up their main intention. It's always better to do things with your own purpose instead of blindly following others.
