Parents always care for their children, no matter what. This is the human nature where parents show their love and care towards their children. However, there might be times where children feel that their care is too much. This can hurt the parent-children relationship if it isn't being handled well. Most of the time, the parents might not even realize that they are being overly caring that the children feel that it's too much.

Some parents might think that the children should always appreciate what was given by the parents. This includes things that the children didn't ask for. This can make the children feel frustrated and  further strained the relationship with the parents.

Some parents might also have a fix mindset that children should follow their advices as strictly as possible. However, they didn't take into consideration that perhaps that isn't what their children want. When the children are unable to have the control over things they would like to do or pursue, it makes them feel that the parents are just controlling them. It is hard for them to see the part that the parents are trying to provide their care. This is also when the children will feel that the parents care too much.
